It's getting closer to Christmas... but it's not a card this month! Jackie is leading the class and we will be making a gift with a matching tag.
So what is the gift? It's a book folded candle!
You will need to bring a paperback book with you (around 160-180 pages) as well as your normal crafty kit. Everything else (including the battery operated tealight) will be provided for you.

November 2017
This month the class will be led by Jackie and we have 3 more Christmas Cards. All the necessary supplies to make the cards will be provided - you just need to bring the usual standard crafty kit with you.
The first is a white on white snowglobe, with a snowy background and snowflake embellishments.
The second is a scene with one large decoupage layer and added bling (glitter).
The third card is an aperture card with image behind. Everyone will get the picture below.
But if you are feeling brave, or it's your thing, you can distress ink a background and stamp images instead.

Brenda will be leading the class, and we will be making a start on those pesky Christmas cards! There will be six in total, utilising the lovely Hunkydory little books, so the images will vary. We will also be making and decorating a gift bag to put them in.
All materials will be provided, but if you want to bring some extra Christmassy bling to add to your cards or bag, please do!

Summer School - 29th July 2017
We are trying out a different format for summer school this year. We will be starting at the normal time, and during the morning, will be making this lovely card with Brenda, made with parchment flowers.
You will need your standard craft kit to do the project, but all materials will be provided as usual.
We are asking you to please bring a packed lunch with you this time - we will revert to the buffet in December, but for summer school we are trying something new.
Teas and Coffees will of course still be provided.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

During the afternoon, we will be holding a make and take tester session between 2pm and 4pm so that we may encourage new members to join us. For the afternoon sessions all materials will be provided, and there will be a supply of equipment for newcomers who don't have their own kit with them.
Existing members are welcome to stay for the afternoon to have a go at the projects - we will be using die cutting machines and dies, cd generated images and making our own backgrounds for stamping and embossing.
It will be a pick and mix of a variety of things for the afternoon session, so I have no pictures - but will take pictures on the day so we can have a gallery of our efforts!
The costs will be £3 for 2 projects, and £1 for every project thereafter.
I think it will be good chance to try some new things, and be a fun afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Three more in May...
Jackie will be leading the class in May, and we will be making three cards again. Usual craft kit will be required - all materials for distress inking will be provided.
The first card will feature an aperture, and we will be colouring the embossed areas using distress inks. The inside of the card will feature some bright cheerful background paper, and will feature a die cut butterfly. You can of course add any additional embellishments of your choice.
The second card will also feature butterflies - but this time printed butterflies will be fussy cut to finish off a pretty square card.
The final card is the one with the choice... for a lady, you can use the floral squares, or if it is needed for a man, then you can use the anchors/nautical themed squares on your card.
The sentiment is the same in both cases.
