November Class

This month (as Christmas is rapidly approaching) we will be making a gift box, with a slot for a gift card.  There are 2 versions, and you will have enough materials to make either one, so you can choose either!

It would be helpful if you had a score board, but if you don't have one, don't worry - there will be extra there!  Otherwise, the only other thing you will need is your usual craft kit.

Version 1 is suitable for a bar of chocolate or some teabags in envelopes (like Twinings) and a gift card.

Version 2 is made specifically to hold 2 of the Aldi own range of hand sanitiser - but of course, you could pop sweets in there instead.  Probably best to use a poly bag to put them in if they aren't wrapped though!  And of course, there is also a slot for a gift card too.

In October, we will be making 3 cards.  Shirley will be leading the class, and you will just need your normal craft kit.

July Class

Shirley is leading the class in July - and these are the cards we will be making.  Apart from basic craft kit, it would be helpful to have a pair of tweezers...

Card 1

Card 2

Card 3 - this is a choice (either a blue or a pink version).

Please be aware that due to various holiday commitments, there will be no class in August - we will return, hopefully suitably refreshed, on 24th September 2022.

Hope everyone has a lovely summer - see you in September!

June Class

The class was led by Jackie this month and we made three cards, using embossing folders and metal dies.  All equipment was supplied.

Card 1 - Simple card using flower dies, an embossed background and a die cut sentiment with mat (die from Creative Crafting world).

Card 2 was a quick and simple card with a mat onto a patterned base layer.  The mat was embossed, and two die cut butterflies and bases (folder and dies from a free gift on the front of a magazine).

Card 3 was another quick and simple one - a simple plain black mat, with an embossed orange layer stuck onto one side of the card.  A plain white sprig on the top, a die cut sentiment using the same colour card and three black gems to lift the top corner.

May Class

We have three more lovely cards for the May class (led by Shirley).

The first is a decoupaged seaside view

The second is a geometric design, which can be used for many occasions, depending on the sentiment used.

Thirdly, we have a very pretty easel card

All materials will be provided, just normal craft kit (glue, scissors, ds tape etc) is required.

April Class

We are ringing the changes a bit in this class - there will be 2 regular cards, and then for card 3 you  have 3 choices!  The cards this time were largely made using dies/stamps from a crafters companion box set, and an embossing folder/die cutting freebie from a magazine.

All materials and equipment will be provided - just normal craft kit (scissors, tape, glue, foam pads) are needed.

March Class

Shirley is leading the class this month - and we have 2 very special projects for you.

Before Covid (new version of BC!) we had planned a trip to Hautbois for another weekend, and one of the things we planned to do there was using an embroidery hoop as a frame.  Well, we all know what happened - lockdown!

The hoops have been stored away in my craft  room ever since, but we are now getting them out and they will be used in the first project Shirley has come up with!

If you have a water brush, it would be helpful if you brought it with you for this one, but otherwise, only your basic kit is required.

For our second project, we will be making a CAS card - I personally really like this one...

All being well, I hope everything goes to plan despite the worry of increasing covid infection numbers again.

We are taking all the usual precautions regarding sanitising all the surfaces, and distancing as far as practicable, so hopefully there will be no need for concern.   It would be appreciated if those attending could also take an LFT test in the morning, just to further minimise the risk.

February Class

Well, this would have been better if I hadn't left it as a draft!  Better late than never - these are the cards for this month's class.  I hope everyone is doing well - and survived Storm Eunice!

Just bring your normal craft bag - you will need glue, double sided tape, a mat, scissors etc - but all tools and materials will be provided for you.

This is our first card - and we will be colouring with distress inks and embossing, and using gilding flakes.

This is our second card - very straightforward with just a little distressing around the edge - and that is optional!

This is our last card and another quickie - although additional images will be provided so you can decoupage the flowers if you like...
