June 2026

Halfway through the year - where is the time going???

It's Jackie's turn to take the class this month, and we will be making the following cards.  As always, equipment needed will be provided - all you need to bring is your usual craft kit (scissors, ds tape, glue, cutting mat, etc)

Card 1

This is a 5 x 7 card, using images from a set from the Crafty Witches website.

Card 2

This one is a 6 x6 card, and is made using some colourful background paper and some white diecuts.

Card 3

Finally, we have our Christmas card!  This one uses a simple white diecut layered onto a printed background.  Stickles glue gives some festive sparkle!

April 2026

It is all about the choices... Jackie has come up with 3 cards that can be made in 2 ways.  We asked if people wanted to make a Christmas card each month, and the response was mixed - so this way everyone wins!

These are the cards - there are a choice of images for the first two.

Card 1 - Either birthday or Christmas!  Made with an embossing folder for the background.

Card 2 - Peaceful purple or bright yellow...

Card 3 -  This is a fun card that is great for someone who isn't into floral or cute cards.

December class

Jackie will be leading the group for the last class of the year...

This year has gone by so fast - it seems such a short time since it began, and now, Christmas is almost upon us.  For this class, we will be moving past the Christmas cards we have been making, and moving forward to general birthday/other occasion cards.

These cards this month will be straightforward, and only your normal kit will be required - ds tape, glue, trimmers, small scissors, foam pads.

Also, we have a really special raffle prize this month, kindly donated by Lorraine.  Don't miss out on a lovely red Christmas wreath!

We are back! September's Cards

It might seem like five minutes, but summer is indeed over, and we are back!

This month the class is led by Shirley, and we will be making these 3 cards.  All materials and equipment will be provided, but a standard craft kit will be needed (plus a scoreboard would be helpful and save time if you have one).

Taking a break

We are currently taking a short break for a summer recharge - but we will be back in September, when we start the countdown to Christmas, and will be making Christmas cards.

We hope you have a lovely summer - see you in September!

July 2025

Three more cards this month - some more diecutting and some stamping and colouring...  your normal crafting kit only is needed as all equipment will be provided.

For our first card, we will be stamping an image twice, then die cutting some circles from the second one.  These will be coloured with pens, and then layered over the top of the first image to give a "pop" of colour.  This card can be used for any occasion, so sentiment of choice to be added.

For our second card, we will take a breather by simply cutting and layering the image from the project sheet onto a scalloped edge card.  This can also be used for any occasion, with an appropriate sentiment added.

And lastly, is our Christmas card for the month.  We will be diecutting the plain white image and overlaying it over a background, then matting and layering the patterned and plain paper onto a 6 x 6 card blank.  Some glitter can be added, if desired.

This is the last month where general cards will be made - we will be taking our usual break in August, and then when we come back in September, all the cards will be of the Christmas variety!  I know, I know, it seems too early.... but Christmas will be upon us before we know it!

June 2025

We have three more lovely cards to be made this month, as we hit the half way point of the year.  Isn't time flying by?

As always, all the equipment you need will be provided, just bring along your normal crafting supplies kit.

Card number 1 is made using a 6 x6 card base and a John Next Door die set and some distress inks around a printed image,

Card number 2 is our Christmas card and is another card made using a die set from John Next Door.  It is so helpful with Christmas cards to have a design that is quick to pull together, and this die set is perfect to do that.  As a bonus, it is great for using up any Christmas paper pads you may have.

Card number 3 is a DL card, made using images from the Crafty Witches - I particularly like this set which are very different and perfect for a summer occasion, either birthday, anniversary or just a simple best wishes.

May 2025

It seems like no time since the last class, lol...

We are meeting up again on 24th May, and these are the cards we will be making this time.

The first card is our Christmas card, and this one is made on a 6 x 6 scalloped card base, and uses lots of techniques - embossing, die cutting, stamping and colouring!  All equipment will be provided, so only your normal craft kit is required, such as glue, foam pads, small scissorrs etc.

The second card is a birthday card (although, other sentiments stamps will be available if you want the card for a different occasion.  This one is on a 7 x 5 card base, and involves stamping.  I have been kind, and the sprig has already been die cut for you, to save some time!  As always, equipment (stamps, inks etc) will be provided for you.

Lastly, we have a quick and easy card using a print out from Crafty Witches.   This is made using a DL card base, and the only equipment needed will be DS tape or glue, and scissors or a trimmer!

April 2025 - now on 3rd May 2025

I know it is a bit confusing, but April's class will now be held on 3rd May, due to a clash with the hall's availability.

This month, we will be making these three cards -

First, is our usual Christmas card. This one is made using an embossing folder and gilding wax.

The second is a lovely clean and simple card, made using a scoreboard and a few simple die cuts.

The last card is a choice between these two stamped images - either the dress, or the flowers.

As always, normal craft kit will be required, but for card three, distress oxide inks will be available to make the background colours.

March 2025

This month the class will be led by Jackie - and will be the following cards.

A basic craft kit will be needed (glue/ds tape, scissors or trimmer) because minimal additional equipment has been used this month.  Extras like stickles glue etc will be available on the day.

Card 1

A happy card for any occasion - this one was made using a new file from the Crafty Witches, and I really would recommend checking out their website.  This file was a new development for them - all the pieces are produced on sheets ready to print, cut out and make and they are very reasonably priced.  Check them out here: The Crafty Witches

Card 2

The second card - 5 x 7 foldback card

Card 3

Our Christmas card for this month.

This card base was made using an SVG file from The Gentleman Crafter - I cut it out using my Scan n Cut machine.  He produces new files every week on his patreon account, and membership to this is very reasonable.

February 2025

The class this month will be led by Shirley.  Again, there are 2 birthday cards, and 1 Christmas card.  Normal craft kit will be needed, i.e. scissors, glue, ds tape, trimmer etc.

The first birthday card is a decoupaged butterfly on a 6 x 6 card base.

The second birthday card is a reversed easel card

And lastly, the Christmas card is a clean and simple one, made with die cut christmas trees.  A sentiment of your choice to be added to this one.
