December Christmas Workshop

It's going to be a fun packed day at the Christmas workshop this year.

We'll be making a very special Downton Abbey based Christmas card - this session will be led by Brenda, and all materials will be provided.

We will also be making a Christmas decoration which will feature a candle silhoutte jar in the second session, which will be led by Shirley.  Again, all materials (including the jar!) will be provided for you.

If you want to do either of these sessions and you are not already booked in, you will have to let Jackie know by SUNDAY 10TH DECEMBER 2016.  If you have not told us by this date, there will not be a pack available for you.

November - Christmas is coming!

How can it be November already???

We will be getting ready for the fastly approaching Christmas rush with 2 lovely Christmas cards this month in a class led by Shirley.

For both cards all materials needed will be provided, but you should bring with you your basic craft kit - scissors, glue, ds tape etc.

The first card will be made using an embossed piece of backing card with gilding wax and a layering technique and decorated with ribbon.

The second will be a window scene, but a photo isn't available for this one yet.  I'll post it as soon as I have it!

October class is on the 22nd..

There are 5 weeks in October so the class is on 22nd this month.  These are the projects we will be doing... a pop up card and a Christmas ornament.

September 2016

Where has the summer gone?  Classes start again on 24th September and this time round Jackie will be leading with *whispers* Christmas cards.

You will need your basic craft kit, plus colouring pens/pencils, although some will be available if you don't have any.

The first will feature a snowglobe (it was supposed to be a shaker card, and still may be if I can figure out how to do it in the time).

The second card will be a coloured in image using woodware stamps - you will have two images to choose from and enough materials to make the second using your own base card at home!

Summer School - 30th July 2016

This year the summer school will be held separately to the Beaders so that those beaders who also make cards can go to both days.

There will be two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a break for lunch.  We are asking everyone to bring something to add to the buffet so that we can all eat together.

We will be making the following projects:

Two lovely cards from Brenda.  For these projects you will need basic craft kit, all elements will be provided.

A book folded lantern from Jackie.  For this project you will need a bone folder, a sharp blade or pair of pointed scissors and you MUST BRING A BOOK - paperback will be fine - with at least 120 pages in it.  All decorative materials and a tea light will be provided.

June Class

We have a choice of cards this month - class is being led by Shirley and we will be making a blouse and a shirt card.

One of each from the following choices.

May Class

 There will be 2 cards this month, and the class will be led by Jackie.

The first card utilises a printed image and an embossed backing paper and some printed papers from a cd.

The second card is made using a woodware stamp coloured in the colour of choice and matted and layered onto a 6 x 6 card.

Basic craft kit will be required (and some colouring pencils/ pens for the stamped Image) although some colouring pens/pencils will be available if needed.

April - Birthday card

The class in April will be led by Brenda and she will be doing this lovely birthday card in grey, with diecut background and flowers and a second card (subject to be advised!)

All materials will be provided - basic kit only required.  Although the card is shown in a box it is not so deep that it cannot go into an envelope if you prefer.

March 2016

 Shirley is taking the class this month and she has two beautiful cards for us to do!

Both feature decoupage, and are ideal for the ladies, as they feature fashion and shoes!

All materials will be supplied, but you should bring basic craft equipment with you.

February 2016

This months project is a lovely circle stepper card (class led by Jackie).

You will need to bring scissors and glue, but otherwise all materials will be provided for you. The card has some height, but will fit into an envelope.

January 2016

Brenda will be leading the class in January and we are now moving away from the Christmassy themes of recent times and will be making this gorgeous birthday card.

All materials will be provided, all that is needed is basic crafty tools.
